2020 is Business as Usual for London CyclistsJanuary Update

As we start a new decade, our cyclists are once again off in search of great road surfaces, challenging climbs and good weather. The destinations of choice for early season touring and training are Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote and Mallorca. However Europe is not the only destination as we’ve also seen cyclists off to Cuba, Cape Town, Dubai and Rwanda. We wish all our cyclists a safe journey and some excellent rides.

April sees the start of the Ironman season in Europe, with events in Greece and Marbella. The Mallorca 312 also takes place on the same weekend as Marbella and as such demand for boxes is currently at an all time high. We have recently increased our box count to 30 so please book early to avoid dissapointment.

Looking forward to May, there are Ironman events in Mallorca, France, Barcelona, Lanzarote and Austria. There is still availability but bookings are coming in fast, so don’t delay making a reservation.

In May we will be promoting our product at the Ironman expo in Mallorca. Mallorca is the biggest Ironman 70.3 event in the World. There are up to 4000 athletes with 1000+ of these from the UK. Last year 22 of our boxes were used to safely transport our triathletes cycles to the Island and back. Julian will be taking time out on the Saturday to compete in the race.

In June the Ironman season goes into overdrive. Racing in Switzerland, Estonia, Luxembourg, France, Denmark (70.3 World Championship), Germany, Ireland, Finland, Holland and the Ironman European Championship in Frankfurt. Also in June is the Vätternrundan in Sweden. We have had several cyclists use our boxes for this event over the years. It’s a real tough one!!

In July will you be riding L’Étape du Tour, Marmotte, Maratona, racing Ironman Austria or just following Le Tour? The Ironman European tour presses on in Sweden, France, Switzerland, Spain and Russia. July will be mega busy so book now to avoid disappointment.

In August we see a lot of holiday business, this is supplemented by Ironman races in Estonia, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, Vichy, Kazakhstan, Germany and Austria, so there’s no let off.

September has historically been just as busy as August. Many cyclists venture off on cycling tours once the family holiday season is over. There are Ironman races in Slovenia and Nice plus two of the most popular Ironman races for Londoners being Italy and Portugal.

By October we expect things to calm down just a little. There are Ironman races in Lanzarote, Barcelona and Marrakech and I’m hoping some of our cyclists will make it to Kona for the Ironman World Championships. October is also an excellent month to take advantage of the great weather and quiet roads in Europe and many cyclists do just that.

For the final two months of the year we expect to get some time off, but we are still open for business 24×7.

Have a great year.
