Before you start

Key things to check before you book

01

Handlebar width

Maximum 48cm. This is wide for most TT, tri, and road bikes, but do check. If your bars exceed 48cm, you'll need to remove your handlebars.

02

Seat post

On smaller frames you may not need to remove it at all. On larger frames it will need to come out or be lowered.

03

Solid rear disc wheel

The box needs to be specially prepared (the standard anti-crush pole removed).

04

Tubeless or tubular tyres

You can pack these with minimal tyre pressure reduction, which is one of the AEF's advantages if you run either setup.

At the airport

Head to the normal check-in desks - The box counts as a bike or large sports equipment.
Then take the box to oversized baggage, you'll see it on the other side!
